Elaina Paige Thomas, professional dancer turned talent agency visionary, joins Ashley and Hailee for a drink and an interview on the latest episode of Behind the Bar!
Before Elaina founded the first Black-owned talent agency in Kansas City, she earned a BFA in Dance and a minor in Arts and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago. As a professional dancer, Elaina worked with an incredible collection of artists, including the Queen B herself, Beyoncé!
After returning to Kansas City, Elaina recognized there was a lack of organized booking opportunities for a wide variety of talented Kansas Citians. To alleviate this, Elaina put her knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry to good use by founding Next Paige Agency, which provides booking resources to local musicians, artists, dancers, models, actors, and influencers.
In addition to Next Paige Agency, Elaina is also the founder of the Next Paige Foundation, a local 501(c) with a mission to serve and empower both youth and adult artists as they navigate the performing arts industry.
And Elaina’s community work doesn’t stop there. She is also the Community Engagement Director for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s foundation, The Worthy 1’s. Worthy’s foundation is dedicated to helping single moms in Kansas City access the support, resources, and community assistance they need to thrive.
So, how does Elaina manage all of her many roles? Tune in to Behind the Bar for some deep behind-the-scenes insight from the trailblazing female entrepreneur herself!
