To celebrate Pride Month, the BTB team are joined by a KC icon – Jessica Dressler, AKA Dirty Dorothy!
Many may recognize Jessica Dressler’s hilarious alter-ego character “Dirty Dorothy” from Kansas City’s theater and drag scene. What they may not know is that by day Jessica is an equally talented and successful Realtor and, more recently, has demonstrated formidable skills as an independent filmmaker.
In this special Pride Month episode of Behind the Bar, Ashley and Hailee step out of their comfort zones (and out of their own personas) as they impersonate one other from head to toe (wigs, outfits and shoes included), and dive deep into how the LGBTQ+ world has changed over the course of their lives.
Dirty Dorothy adds colorful anecdotes during this spirited journey down gay memory lane – and also shares an exciting announcement about her upcoming faux-documentary movie titled “Rennie” – a touching comedy based on the performers and merchants within a small town Renaissance Festival.
